Books A to Z- Our Reviews

Beautiful Creatures Review by Hillary Rivera

Beautiful Creatures by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl, is a thrilling novel with surprises around every corner. This novel revolves around a young male named Ethan Wate who spends his time playing basketball, wishing he could escape his boring hometown of Gatlin, South Carolina, and having continuous dreams about a mysterious female he is convinced may be his dream girl. Even though Beautiful Creatures is an incredible book, it falls short in comparison to other novels with other supernatural themes AKA witchcraft (*coughcough* Hex Hall *cough* waaaaay better). This novel is decent and would make a great book to read in your spare time as it takes awhile to connect with the plot. With this said, I would not recommend this book to any impatient or non-avid readers. However, if you do choose to get this book know that it begins to become quite interesting once the story picks up in pace (which is around the 250 page mark).

Age Appropriate: 13 and Up                                                                                            Rating: 3.5 out of 5 Paws       *Recommended for Twilight Fans*
